Nobody hopes for rain on their wedding day, right? But…a rainy day at the Sagamore Resort on Lake George brings some things that are kind of a dream, to be honest. I love the mountain tops hidden in the clouds and the beautiful light…as you’ll see in the photos below.
But this isn’t about the weather! This is about Casey & Andy, and their truly wonderful wedding day. We were lucky enough to have a fantastic engagement session last summer on a beautiful night–we climbed the Pinnacle Trail outside Bolton Landing, with its awesome view of the lake, and then finished up at the Sagamore. Along the way, I came to realize what a really great couple I had the good fortune to be with–smart, fun, easy going, thoughtful…all the good things. On the wedding day, we of course got to meet families and friends, too; as expected, all great people to work hang with. I’ve always loved photographing the range of emotions that weddings often include, and this one was a perfect example of that. From Casey’s emotional responses to her dad seeing her in her wedding dress, and then seeing Andy, to the heartfelt vows written by the bride and groom, and to the sheer joy of the celebration afterward, this wedding had it all.
A very big thank you to Casey & Andy for having us along for this awesome ride–our best wishes for a lifetime of love and happiness.
