engagement session, lake george, ny–claudia & ben
We are so excited to be working with these two, and the results of their Lake George engagement session will tell you why. Claudia & Ben are a super nice, fun couple and I love the way we’ve hit it off together…this is another one of those situations I mention sometimes that makes me truly thankful to be in this business. It’s cool–you meet a couple, maybe you have a little connection already (Ben was a groomsman in Jesse & Emily’s 2015 wedding, and I’ve met and worked with his dad Jerry a number of times), you talk about what they like (and don’t like), what they have in mind for their wedding…and you start to get a feel for what they’re like.
Then you start to talk about the engagement session–locations, outfits, and all that. And of course, you just keep your fingers crossed that the stars align and everything works out as you’re picturing it. So check this out, we drew the long straw and got an absolutely amazing September evening on Lake George. “September on Lake George” is another way of saying “perfection”, in my opinion–the crowds are gone, the light is spectacular, and the weather can’t be beat. We started our session at the Sagamore–I’ve shot there so many times I couldn’t begin to guess how many, but it never gets old…the place is just spectacular. Then Ben’s dad swung by in the Cobalt and off we went…on the itinerary: Paradise Bay, the Black Mtn. picnic area, the Narrows, all my favorite places to shoot.
